I want to see this movie.

About a month ago, my parents went to see this movie and ever since then, I have been dying to see it. (How is a movie going to show up in Montclair first...?)

It's on my summer list. Along with This Is The End, White House Down (I know) and The Kings of Summer. What is on yours?

Get busy living ...by watching movies

Based on A Stephen King short story, Shawshank image seen here
This weekend, PB and I were flipping around on the TV and a commercial for Shawshank Redemption came on. I started quoting lines while Paul looked at me with total confusion. When I asked him if he had ever seen it, he shockingly said that he hadn't. What!? So being that it was Oscar weekend, early Saturday evening, we watched it and I am happy to report that he loved it.
I knew Paul couldn't be the only one missing the classics so I decided to take a look at AFI's Great Movie's of All Time List. This is an awesome list when you are trying to decide what to watch on those Friday nights when the thought of going out even for one beer makes your head hurt. Midnight Cowboy, Raging Bull and....Citizen Cane. I am coming for you. What about you guys, anything on this list that you are missing?

Also, we finally saw Celeste and Jesse Forever this weekend and I highly recommend it.

2012 in Movies

Ok so I am not the best about seeing movies. There are still so many that I want to cross of my list and to even start that list, I suggest you refer to this mash-up of 2012 movies. I have to say that the team who put this together did it pretty seamlessly.

Here is my list of movies I still want to see in no particular order....
Flight - Pitch Perfect - Zero Dark Thirty - Celeste and Jesse - Looper - Les Mis - Skyfall

What else should I add to this list?  What movies didn't you see this year that you wanted to?

In a few hours, I will be packing up my stuff and heading to my parents house in New Jersey for Thanksgiving. I am pretty sure that tonight has become a universal night to go out in your hometown for a few drinks with old friends. But here is the thing, the high school friends that I am still friends with I see on the regular and often times there are drinks involved. What we don't do enough is go to the movies! So guys, let's all load up on popcorn and M&M's and meet me at the Bellview. Or whatever theater you have in your hometown. I will be in line to see the new Bond movie. What about you?
