April Foolery

Seen on Scotches and Scones

Happy April Fools Day! Is that something people say? Probably not.  Last night when we were getting ready for bed, Paul suggested that tomorrow he calls my sister Maya to tell her that we are engaged and then yell April Fools! My look alone I think put the kibosh on that idea. I would still really like to trick him but I haven't come up with anything good yet.  Did you play any good tricks?

Are you on the countdown?

Even though it is only Thursday, you can tell people are ITCHING to get out of the office and into holiday mode. People are humming tunes, treats are everywhere you look and at 5pm, people are racing to the door.

What about in your office? Are you closed from Christmas to the New Years (lucky!)!!

Ornamental help

How funny is this hedgehog? Seen at Terrain
So as I may have mentioned before, this is the first year that PB and I have a Christmas tree. We are actually going to be in Florida with PB's dad for the actual day but I loved getting a nice size tree for the house to get us in the holiday spirit. But this Jew needs some help. Ornaments. What is the tradition? Do I just buy them willy nilly or does each need a story and special moment? Do you stick to one color pallet? Also, how many packs of lights do you use? Color or white? Have bloggers and Martha Stewart made me self conscious of my own tree? I can answer that one...yes.  Help!

Cyber Monday!

And maybe a fur vest too? Image from here

Welcome back from Thanksgiving break! I hope you had a great holiday. Did you do any shopping on Black Friday? What about today, Cyber Monday? I am suffering over some boots at Bloomingdales and most likely going to load up on household supplies at Soap.com What about you? Any awesome deals I need to know about?

its beginning to look a lot like the holidays*

* I think as a Jew, I have a hard time saying Christmas. But I should just be honest, it is looking a lot like Christmas. And I love it.

Maybe it's that commercials for Black Friday are running on loop or maybe its the large snowflake hanging outside of our window seen above. Whatever it is, let's keep it up, I like it.

If you feel like planning ahead

Just a heads up that the Gilt City right how is running a deal for Minted.com that gets is pretty sweet through October 25th. Here is the breakdown; 50.00 for $100.00, $100.00 for $200.00 and the whopper, $500.00 for $1,000.00 in merchandise. I have never sent a holiday card but this might be the deal that does it. Minted.com has such fun and unique, here are a few of my favorites.
